Dr. Kirk Als has been a cornerstone of Orleans Veterinary Hospital for more than 30 years. As the previous owner of the practice, he played an instrumental role in shaping the hospital’s strong reputation for exceptional patient care, teamwork, and community involvement. His passion for fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture remains one of the qualities most valued by both clients and colleagues.
A highly skilled soft tissue surgeon, Dr. Als enjoys helping pets live healthier, happier lives through both preventative care and advanced surgical procedures. He is also dedicated to giving back to the community and regularly volunteers with Community Veterinary Outreach, helping provide veterinary care to pets and families in need.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Als enjoys cheering on his favourite hockey teams, making maple syrup at his cottage, and spending time with his wife, Denise, their three children, and their beloved Victorian Bulldog, Coco. His commitment to animals, his community, and his team continues to make him an integral part of the Orleans Veterinary Hospital family.
