Suzanne graduated from the three-year Animal Care Technician program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. She has a special interest in turtles. Through her volunteer work with a turtle rescue group, she treats injured turtles and educates the public about their conservation and protection.
She lives with her husband and their two children: Patrick and Lianne. The whole family loves to boat and fish. Suzanne enjoys gardening, tole painting and carving wood as well as spending time with her older, long-haired cat, Min.
Sharon joined us in 1988. In 1984, she completed the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College in Brampton, and in 1994, passed the Ontario exam to become a Registered Animal Health Technician. She is a highly compassionate individual who focuses on pain management to help our animal patients.
Sharon loves gardening, reading and music. In her spare time, she can be found outside in the garden, camera in hand, hoping to find some interesting insects to photograph and identify. She shares her home with her husband and their animals; cats, Daisy, T-Bone and Charlie, and with her lively Boxer, Etta.
Kelly joined the practice in 2008. She graduated with a Baccalaureate in Science and Honours Biology from the University of Ottawa, and she is certified as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Kelly has a strong interest in animal nutrition and plans to further her education in that field. Her goal is to become an animal nutrition specialist. Kelly also manages our Veterinary Boutique.
Kelly is an enthusiastic cook and voracious reader, who enjoys a good board or card game. She and her husband are the proud parents—staff—of a pair of Maine coon litter mates, Ranger and Cheyenne.
Danielle has been with us since 2003. Since then, she has earned a Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma, and, in 2009, graduated from the Algonquin College Veterinary Technician program. Danielle has a special interest in small animal dentistry, and she is a registered member of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians.
At home Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys, as well as their dog: Brynn, a Shepherd Mix.
Katherine graduated in 1998 from the Veterinary Technician program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. She moved to Nova Scotia where she worked in a small animal hospital for five years. In 2003, she returned to Ontario to join our team of technicians.
She has twins, a boy and girl, and loves to walk, garden, sew and cycle.
Jennifer joined the practice as a co-op student in 2009. We thought highly of her abilities, so we asked her to join our team as a veterinary assistant, receptionist as well as working in our Boutique. In 2013, Jennifer graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College and wrote the national exam to become a registered veterinary technician. We are so proud to have her join our team of veterinary technicians.
Jennifer has a keen interest in small animal dentistry and radiology.
Jennifer likes to spend her spare time going to the gym, snowboarding and spending time with family and her dog, Brea.
Tarra graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College in 2009. She spent over 2 year working in an emergency veterinary hospital before joining the Orleans Vet team.
Tarra has a special interest in animal behaviour and small animal dentistry.
In her spare time, Tarra loves to paly badminton, hockey and take her 2 dogs, Nyah and George for a run.
Haleigh graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at St. Lawrence College in 2012. She started her technician career working at Animal Emergency Ottawa. Haleigh joined the Orleans Vet team full-time in the Spring of 2014, but she still works at the emergency hospital in her spare time.
Haleigh enjoys spending with her family and going to their cottage in the summer months. She also enjoys spending time with her rabbit Banksy and her cat Ashton.
